G Jones has done it again. The Visions EP is 23 minutes of your life that you will not get back, not that you will you want to get back.  While trying to come up with comparisons to other artists G Jones is a possibly more glitchy Bassnectar. Jones definitely stayed true to his style in the “Visions” EP. After seeing G Jones DESTROY Gem and Jam I could not be more excited to review this EP.

I’ve listened to this album a couple times through and honestly it is terrible. There is so many elements going into the music that it just makes me confused.

Mind Over Matter

Zion I, aka Baba Zumbi's new album called The Labyrinth is a conscious rap album with personal, sociopolitical, and inspirational lyrics. The intro "Pre-Destine" and the outro "Departure" are recordings of Zumbi's two-year-oldson Kenji. Kenji had some kind words for his fathers listeners: "Hey people, don't hate. God will protect you. Focus on the good parts." The first two songs after the intro are Bangers! "What we Gone Do" is definitely a more trap oriented song.

Armin's latest album mixes his unique style with instrumental influences and a wide variety of vocalists. In addition, he does several collaborations with other well known electronic arists, including Cosmic Gate, DBX, Hardwell, and BullySongs. All of these mix together to make a good album, with several standout tracks, including "Strong Ones", "Heading Up High", "Gotta Be Love", "Caught In The Slipstream", "Indestructible", and my personal favorite track from the album, "Freefall", which features BullySongs.

For a band that sounds a lot like Caribou in name, they also sound a lot like Caribou in sound. If you can follow that. Maribou State is simply chill electronic synth stuff with some sweet vocals thrown in. At a more complex level Maribou State has a sort of sonorous harmony, with the more lax side of their music adding a trance vibe to them. There's much more to this band than simple computer generated noise.

The first track seemed like a chilled-out, slowed-down version of what hard style would sound if it was slowed down...Try to wrap that around your head. Now onto the next track, "Emma Watson Walks In". Now that's one killer title. But what about the track? I expect this to play every single time Emma Watson walks into some sort of room. It's this heavy, glitchy dub that's reminiscent of The Glitch Mob. Really heavy, but with some cerebral sound loops. It's really cool.

If Nikki Minaj and Chris Brown got a little more ghetto and found a niche in trap music? This album would be the product of that. That is all.

I literally know nothing about hip hop so this is the best I can do. I think this is a decent album? But in all honesty, I can't take it seriously because it reminds me of Nikki Minaj and Chris Brown going a little more thug and trying their hand out at trap and doing a slightly botched job...I'm not sure how I feel...

Ok ok, this is the album we have all been patiently waiting for deadmau5 to drop. So do yourself the favor and clear out about 2 hours to do mundane tasks (like cleaning or doing homework) while listening to this album. There's 2 discs, and each disc has something awesome to offer, so listen to each disc thorougly :) Both discs have a really nice sprinkling of tracks with deadmau5 classic, classical touch on it. Expect a lot of piano intros, soft guitars, and slow mellow build-ups to a more electro-based drop. Some of these songs will really give you the chills and mellow you out.

When I first received this single I was not sure what I was going to get. But with Passion Pit (Dillon Francis Remix) I knew that this was going to be a sweet track. Overall when I first heard the single I was not too enthused to be quiet honest. Recently I listened to the track again and it blew my mind! It has a very catchy tune to dance to and it will be in your head for days. I would recommend this single for anyone who is into EDM or any Passion Pit fan.

As this being the last album that Swedish House Mafia will be putting out, it was hands down amazing. Each track you probably have already heard of if you are into RPM electronic but never the less this album deserves some credit. They are legends in this type of genre of music and they will be forever missed. If you are not into Electronic, Techno music you are really missing out because this album has great tracks to offer and I would recommend it anyone who loves music!
