I am not that stoked about this album. There is nothing about this EP that leaves me impressed. Reasons why I don't really like it very much is the fact that I felt as though I've heard these songs before and there was nothing new or different he decided to try out. I did enjoy some of the tracks, with their uplifiting moods but again, I feel like the songs are pretty much the same just one may be more upbeat than the other.

Is There Only One? by Lena Fayre sounds like a younger Lana Del Rey. Lena's lyrics are quite powerful in context with the reason behind her album. I enjoyed the fourth and fifth tracks on the album the most; the first three are still very good but their rhythms are sort of synonymous with one another and are therefore less captivating. I recommend this album to fans of Lana Del Rey or Zella Day. Her melodies are really interesting, with a lot of cascading vocals that are on the breathier side but are still very pretty.

This single by Naughty Boy featuring Beyonce and Arrow Benjamin is definitely going straight to the Top 40 charts. Beyonce's voice is delicate and beautiful juxaposed with the quiet piano melodies that develop into a more poppy, standard Naughty Boy instrumental. The lyrics are nostalstic and sort of basic, but the vocalists make them worth listening to. I really liked the quick pace of the chorus. If you're into Beyonce (basically, if you're a human being) you'll like this track.

This CD was really cool. I honestly had a ton of fun listening to it. Every song on the album is really fun to listen to. It is certainly a pop album but it certainly does not sound generic. Every song blends well with the next without them sounding too similar. It is perfect music to vibe to. The beats made for this album are perfect for Jozsef James' voice and he doesn't out do himself. This is a great album and should be listened to by anyone regardless of music taste.

The Canadian duo released their new synth pop EP Bad::Better in hopes of creating some great pop jams. If you’re into catchy hooks and fun pop music, than this 4-track EP is for you. After listening to the album for the first time, “Bad::Better”, the title track, and “Not Dead” immediately stood out. Vocalist Matthew Moldowan said that “if a record doesn’t catch me in the first listen or two, I probably won’t put it back on the record player”.

Hannah Ayrault's Me Right Now sounds like a deconstructed, un-autotuned Ellie Goulding with Camp Rock lyrics. She's got a sweet voice. The first few songs on Me Right Now were lacking in lyrical variation, pining for lost friendships through simple rhyme while still sounding very Disney movie. However, her fourth and fifth tracks (New York, I Love You, and So Close So Far) were quite captivating and I found myself humming along. I recommend this to people who like slower alternative pop or alternative country, as her songs flicker between the two subgenres.

The Feel It EP by Tanille really isn't as bad as it looks....I promise. While the album art has the production value of a middle school media arts project, the music on this thing is some fairly solid, albeit not very original, pop/r&b stuff that won't blow you away, but won't make you cringe. Tanille makes music more in the vein of Tinashe rather than the bold Aaliyah comparison the front of the CD makes.

This is a very generic group of songs that has absolutely nothing interesting within them. It is incredibly boring and nothing makes it enjoyable. The vocals are half whispered and have way too much reverb. I'm guessing they wanted to sound ~indie~ by doing that. It's pretty bad. Except the last track. That one is pretty okay.

Bryce Vine sounds like a he wants to be Childish Gambino with the voice of Sammy Adams and the music off of Maclemore’s “The Heist”.  Overall I did not find this album very fulfilling, he raps a lot about being young and trying to make it, following a similar vein to Macklemore and Hoodie Allen. It’s good for people who like pop-ier rap, he has a good singing voice for sure. Check out Take Me Home, it’s a) the only clean song and b) sounds like B.O.B.

This sensual female pop singer provides the chillest of driving music. She’s loungey yet cool, alt yet pop, underwater yet above water. Whatever that means. Her voice is ethereal and real, and you’ll catch yourself singing along before you know it. Sit back, relax, and don’t let the name “Stabb” fool you into thinking this 5-song album is dangerous.
