À Jamais Privé de Réponses is the debut full length album from French-Canadian New Wave group, Paupière. This album greets two singles and an EP in Paupière's discography, and I have to say, I like it. Paupière pushes past the mere novelty of it's foreign language pop group origins into a uniquely fun listen.

The tracks on this album definitely do not disappoint in the upbeat, twirl around your room while you listen to them department. The beats are easy to bop around to, and very catchy, and are coupled by synth elements that are very fun to listen to. The lyrics about love are relatable, funny, and very memorable. The disco-esque tracks are modernized, and the entire album definitely merits the label of "groovy." The record is everything you could want in an album titled "More Disco Songs About Love."

The Knocks' new single "House Party" is a bumping dance track that perfectly encapsulates the modern young adult social scene. It's not hard to relate to this scene when you're neck-deep in it, as most artists are, but it is difficult to make a nontypical dance track that does. They don't necessarily follow the radio pop formula--The Knocks stay true to their well-developed sound, which is a strong and successful attempt to bring disco back.

“Oye Bien” starts with a simple drum beat and repetitive vocals, with the sounds of birds in the background. It makes you feel like you’re in a rainforest. The song maintains the simple drum beat and relatively simple, repetitive vocals throughout, but layers guitar, marimba, and other instruments on top to create a relaxing and upbeat vibe. “Come Me Miras” has a heavy but slow beat that would be fun to dance to.

This album "Babylon Remixes" has three remixes by Josh Pan and X&G, Skrillex and Ronnie J, and also Sober Rob and Oshi, with the original track "Babylon" coming from Ekali featuring rapper Denzel Curry. The original track showcases Ekali's trap side, versatility, and ability to collaborate with use of percussion and arrangement of Denzel Curry's textured bars.

New York-based singer, Amber Mark, will release her first debut EP on Friday, May 12th. The EP consists of 7 track including two pre-released singles "Lose My Cool" and "Way Back." While listening to both tracks, I immediately thought of my treks through H&M that could also fit the Forever 21 music theme. Lose My Cool is a mellow track with piano at the beginning and end of the track.

Calvin Harris ft. Frank Ocean & Migos

New music from Calvin Harris, Frank Ocean, and Migos has everyone in a frenzy. While Calvin Harris puts out new music quite often this song is one of the more catchy and pop-y songs I've heard in awhile. I love this song for Frank Ocean, and its great to hear new music from him before a 6 year hiatus. If Ocean keeps this up all his fans will be very happy because Calvin Harris and Frank Ocean work very well together. Now, I have never heard Migos (I know, that's a problem - I'll fix it) before this but I really enjoyed their contribution to this song.

Paper Pilots' new EP "Automatic" is an upbeat, dance-y album perfect for the new year. The single, "Automatic" is a fun pop song you'll be singing for days after you hear it, just like the rest of the songs. There's also a radio edit version if you want a song that's 10 seconds shorter and doesn't sound very different from the original.  "The Weather" sounds like it belongs at the end of a happy movie. "Lovebird" is just a really cute song that may or may not be about a person or a bird.

The New Orleans Suspects

Louisiana Red Hot Records

I did not know any of the musicians in this band, but when I saw that some had played with The Neville Brothers and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band I got very excited. The record is classic New Orleans funk-rock. It's very groovy and danceable, and all of the musicians work very well in conjunction with one another. The majority of the members are former session players, and sometimes with groups like that the musicians are individually talented but do not work well together. This is not the case with the New Orleans Suspects.
