It’s been around six years since the Gorillaz released their fourth studio album, “The Fall”, and even longer since their first studio album self-titled “Gorillaz”; just about 15 years since their debut and they’re still rocking out.

While it has been four years since Franz Ferdinand has put out anything you may be pleased to hear little has changed. That actually came as a contention of disappointment for me. While I like Franz Ferdinand, when I left my Spotify on shuffle I had difficulty knowing when I was listening to songs off of this album or their older stuff. I think that this album also takes a lot of rhythm and back beats from other songs they have debuted. Never-the-less it is still a great album for fans that just wants some ‘new’ Franz Ferdinand to kick back to.

Stateless' second studio album, Matilda, has been lauded as many things their first album was not; and that is saying quite a bit. It is being called more cinematic, more electronic, more dark, more mysterious, more surreal, and more adeventurous. The England-based band's unique style emerges from a British Pop & Rock background, but forgoes traditional guitar, bass, and drum kit in favor of the use of turntables, vocorders, and samplers which allow them to incorporate a plethora of exotic influences.
