Pretty difficult to describe. Most of the songs are mostly ambient songs, with this Indie Dance vibe to them. It is not very bouncy, be warned, pretty slow paced, but it is very good ambient music. Pretty dark for the most part. Some songs have some different feels to them:

1. Very good intro song, awesome voice and bass line.

2. The voice screaming is almost from a horror movie but the song is pretty awesome in the end.

3. Really nice atmosphere from this song. reminds me of Drive.

6. Very hip-hop vibe to it. But old school hip hop.

Torches

Artist:
Foster the People
Label:
Columbia

If you haven't heard their hit "Pumped Up Kicks" you are probably living in a cave.  "Pumped Up Kicks" from this debut album Torches is the 2011 hit of the summer that is still getting plenty of airplay on a majority of the Tucson radio stations as a crossover hit. This album is awesome, especially for a debut album since the band formed recently in 2009 in LA. You can definitely hear similarities between Foster the People and MGMT because they both fall under the indietronica and neo-psychedelia subgenres.

Zonoscope

Artist:
Cut Copy
Label:
Modular Records

Listening to this album makes me feel like I'm driving down the PCH in Orange County in some retro convertible. Cut Copy retained their signature spacey, 80s retro sound with a carefree vibe. This album dives less into the messy and longing emotions and instead keeps up an upbeat and vibe. I don't like it quite as much as "Bright Like Neon Love", but definitely worth a spin.
