Little Simz aka Simbi Ajikawo introduces her concept album "Stillness in Wonderland" with LMPD, one of the wittiest constructions of lyrics I have heard all year, throwing in references to the heroes of black culture in America, Garvey, to Marley, to Martin Luther King, she even weaves in references to the pineal gland ( the third eye, soul reservoir as it is also called.) Her music rides on dark vibes, heavy trill beats, anger dripping in the background without distracting from the integrity that her sound holds itself to.

Action Bronson is set to release his debut album "Mr. Wonderful" in March and he just dropped the lead single off the album "Actin Crazy." Produced by Noah "40" Shebib out of the OVO camp, Bronson sounds smooth and his punchlines are on point as usual, delivering some hilarious quips about Anita Baker while also riding around in four different cars throughout his two verses. The hook is what really makes this one though, as Bronson's colorful personality shines through in an earworm of a chorus.

This is real deal hip hop, no facades, just "in your face" jams. Runt (Jivin Scientists) and producer Gunky Knuckles teamed up for the first edition of the We Are Buggin' Out Dyad Series. Runt is an expert when it comes to well thought out lyrics, some tracks are very upbeat while others have a more reflective feeling. This is an awesome EP. Play it on your show.
