In case you've been wondering, our Sports Director Zach Clark has been pounding the pavement and getting some great interviews. Here he is with the commentators of College Gameday on Friday afternoon.

If you're interested in sports programming, talk to Zach about getting a show! He's always looking to expand the department.

"Chris Fowler is seen here talking about Arizona’s defense. You can see me here checking my notes because I was about to ask him a question about LaMichael James, Oregon’s starting running back."

"I asked former Ohio State quarterback Kirk Herbstreet what he thought the future had in store for Arizona Wildcat football. In short he said that as long as Mike Stoops is here Wildcat fans should be excited."

"Heisman trophy winner and Super Bowl MVP Desmond Howard talks about the fierce football rivalry between the Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State Buckeyes."

"He said that he 'had a lot of respect' for Kirk Herbstreet and other current and former Buckeyes."

In case you missed it, here are a few updates from Wednesday's meeting:

From GM:
- If you bring friends/guests onto your show, you MUST inform either me or Ellie before your show. We need to keep track of who is in the studio and when.

From Programming:
- If you are assigned to play the AZUN paid spot on your show, you MUST play it. No excuses.
- If you do not have your show set up on radioactivity.fm, please email me your name and the name of your show and I will set it up for you. Then, all you have to do is click on your show when you sign on to Radioactivity and start charting.
- If you have to cancel your show, YOU must tell your interns. Nobody else will do this for you, and you don't want to look like a jerk to your intern for showing them up!

From News:
- All DJs are required to play the news bumps at some point during their show. It's never longer than a minute and it is located right on the desktop of the computer in the broadcast booth. Play it!

From Marketing:
- T-Shirts are in the final stage of pre-production. Stay tuned.

From Sports:
- We lost the Oregon broadcast ("No surprises there"). But, we do have the ASU and USC broadcasts.
- Hockey is not working out.
- Baseball is coming in February.

From HR:
- Get your show fliers into Ellie's mailbox and they will be hung up around campus!!!

From Production:
- Kyle needs help mixing in-studio sessions, so if you're interested in learning to engineer, contact him at production@kamp.arizona.edu. It's easy and fun.

From Mobile DJ:
- We got the complete new light setup in and functioning. We now have eight par cans, two scanners, a strobe, a sweep, and a fogger.
- If you're interested in learning to do Mobile DJ, contact Guillaume at mobiledj@kamp.arizona.edu.
- There will be a Mobile DJ training session this Sunday the 22nd at 3PM at the studio. Come check it out!

From Head MD:
- Keep the booth clean! This includes re-shelving CDs that you grab out of the library.
- Make sure you're re-shelving the As and Bs in their respective slots in the stacks (As on left, Bs on right).
- All DJs MUST review a minimum of ten (10) CDs per semester. The MDs get loads of stuff in and simply cannot review it all on their own. We will be keeping track of this and strikes will be administered for DJs who do not comply.
- Shoot Emily an email (headmd@kamp.arizona.edu) and sign up to receive music updates from any of our MDs. They have recently set up listservs for each genre. You may sign up for one or all.

In case you haven't noticed, our mobile DJ department has been doing some serious work as of late. Guillaume has been keeping busy with everything from frat parties to mall shows to low-key jams outside the studio. We've also just picked up a sweet new light setup with strobe, scanners, and sweep lights (not to mention a spiffy new fogger).

If you're interested in helping out with mobile DJ, or learning to use the equipment and do some gigs, contact Guillaume at mobiledj@kamp.arizona.edu.

IT'S OFFICIAL: KAMP Student Radio is now listed on the iTunes Radio!!! Open your iTunes (make sure you have the latest version, iTunes 9), click on "Radio" on the left, then click on "College/University." Scroll down and you'll see KAMP. Tune in!

Now people don't have to search for us to find us; we're listed right there in front of them! So go tell your friends, family, random dudes on the street...whoever!

It's Ellie, your Human Resources Director, so....

Shirts are due NO LATER THAN THIS SUNDAY. (SEPTEMBER 27) I will be on campus all day, not necessarily in the studio, but I will be there; so therefore, I will be collecting the final t-shirt designs. I want you guys to have choices for YOUR 2009-2010 KAMP shirt, ergo, you need to make me shirt designs.

They must have the following:
1. KAMP Student Radio
2. kamp.arizona.edu
3. 1570AM

That is it. You can use wordart for all I care. Just submit some designs. I am doing this for you, so you can feel ultra cool in your KAMP t-shirt.

Okay so I know everyone is sick of seeing the same damn interviews up on the homepage, so now this!

We're back in full swing with programming for returning members. Interns will also be assigned to shows within the next few days. MDs need help reviewing all kind of CDs left over from the summer as well as new releases. So come down to the studio and help out!

Tune into a special edition of Pandora's Box IN TWO WEEKS! On Monday Night! for a special on air interview with Travis Ryan from Cattle Decapitation and two hours of the heaviest metal to ever hit the KAMP student air-waves!
