Latin infusion

Jungle Fire
Nacional Records

Jambu by Jungle Fire was underwhelming. It infuses Afro-Latin sounds and beats that captivate the listener in the first few songs. However, there isn’t much growth or variation throughout the rest of the album. Listening to Jambu is similar to what one would here on a 70s action movie score. It’s catchy, but only for a little while before it starts to sound the same again. “Cumbia De Sal” was the only song to breakout from the mold. The song was a combination of the beats, cumbia rhythms and children singing lyric throughout the song.
