Immediately sounds like on of those girl groups of the 1980s (For example "The Go-Gos") combined with a Joan Jett & The Blackhearts-like punk element on the title track, called "Feel the Same".

The second track, called "Kills To Be Resistant" sounds like a Blondie song meets the rythm of The Cars and Early Punk bands. Heavy punk drumming throughout this entire song that reminds me of the unique drumming-style that has made Travis Barker famous.

Voices is the sophomore EP of Seattle native, Ryme. While this EP has only six tracks, it's full of unique sounding grunge bangers and experimental sounds. Each track is nothing short of fucking lit, and will leave you wanting more than a short EP. Because of the diverse and unique sounds of the EP, it's helpful to step back and evaluate each track before seeing the EP as a whole.

With the tumultuous political atmosphere, I wouldn't be surprised at a revival of the riot grrrl movement of the 90s. Mary Bell embodies the spirit of those before them, tackling issues such as feminism and the toppling of the patriarchy. If you're a politically minded individual that is passionate about feminism, Mary Bell may be the band for you. Their name comes from the child murderer Mary Bell who was responsible for the deaths of two young boys. If that doesn't give you an idea of what the band is about, I don't know if you'll ever get it.

Previously the creative force behind Hooray for Earth, Noel Heroux is out with a new project "Mass Gothic". The first release with this name, under Sub Pop truly shows the creative talent of Heroux. The sound is gothic (for lack of a better word). With a combination of pysch and dream, Mass Gothic is very romantic but almost bitter in nature. That being said, it's not exactly sad either, with bursts of electronic and low guitar riffs.

Promise Everything is UK band Basement's third studio album and their first following a four year hiatus. Their previous record Colourmeinkindness received loads of acclaim, so I was intrigued to hear what this record would sound like after their 4 year break from making music. It took me a few listens to really get into this album, but eventually I came away enjoying it, although I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be.

This is Rory Atwells second album under the name Warm Brains. He is more know for being a producer who has worked with bands like YUCK and the Vaccines. This  album at times is very lo-fi indie pop sounding and other times pretty experimental and psychedelic. A similar style to that of like the band Pavement. The fact that Atwell played, mix and mastered the album all on his own is pretty impressive, especially with the amount of layers in this record. It definitely took me a couples listens to really fully grasp the album.

I had never heard of this band before but I saw their name and that they had a picture of a cute cat on the back and I knew I had to review them. I would El Gato Dice's Dos is the ecuivilent of 80's rock pop but for the indie genre. They are labeled as indie on their website, but I get more or a rock and pop vibe fromt their sound. It makes me want to sway my head and hips and clean my house. The lyrics are cute and the instrumentals are supper easy to listen to making it a very light album that you should play on your show.

Bikini Kill was a band that was around in the 90s. They were the leaders of the influential riot grrrl movement. Bikini Kill is definitely among the most important punk bands in history. Anyway, the band rereleased their original demo tape this year along with bonus songs never before heard. And much like the rest of their material, it is amazing. Fast tracks (like all of the ones that can't be played on the radio) make the listener sway and dance and want to slam dance. Punk!!!!!! But the addition of the slower chunkier sounding songs make this record really stand out.
