Hip-Hop

Artist:
Eazy-E
Label:
Priority Records

Eazy-E is one of the most prolific rappers of all time. Since he was part of the group N.W.A., he has gotten some major blast. As he spits, he tells a story and he does it with passion and skill. It helps to be backed by Snoop Dogg and Dre but that doesn't matter. Without them, Eazy would be bumpin' it. He is a master lyricist with a flavor for the complex. His lines are long and his beats are fresh. E does not mess around when it comes to the industry. He will always be repping his boys and what hip hop truly stands for, the game and the hustle. Not the crips, cars, and jewelry.

**** of 5

I hated the original version of this song and thought it was a joke but this remix is just too tight it is excellent how Kelly and Avant flow off of one another.

Sounds a lot like Bubba Sparxxx without the Southern Accent. CD Isn't anything special lyrically or beat wise. Awol raps in a monotone and only sings off key. There are some good tracks to play.

Classic bounce Mannie Fresh!!!

Tracks have a strong, bass'driven, high-energy groove and some hot 808 drops. I prefer track 2 over 6 but they both bump.

New joint from the "Deceased" 2PAC. Sample is kinda weak but none the less a good song.

Early 2Pac. Older West Coast beats. it is a storytelling album. In my opnion not one of his best cds. However, 2Pac as usual has a smooth flow, but would sound much better over different beats.

*Track 12 is a little messed up.

Early 90s rap style. Very smooth though. A couple of excellent tracks.

The Sticker is pretty good at describing this one, except I think that 40 Watt Hype kicks the shit out of Ozomatli any day. I thought this was a strong album: funky, crisp, politically charged. From a musician's standpoint, these guys are tigher than tight, and the head-bobbin' grooves flow so smooth into the body-shakin' sambas that you can't help but get into it.

OVERALL RATING: Freshly-colored groove spitoon. Take a sip!

*** out of 5. They Neptunes save this track. This beat is hot but 504s sounds a little to much like they want to sound like Cash Money.
