horror core

Artist:
Esham
Label:
Reel Life Productions

After what can only called "minimal research" on who Esham is and what he's about, I can say with confidence that he is definitely on that grind. Esham has consistently dropped at least 1 album a year for the last 20, and he's gotten a pretty decent fan following. This year, in lieu of his upcoming album "Scribble", Esham dropped the first single off of it called "Trust No One".

i actually wasn't paying attention when i checked this cd out to review + thought it was by burger records boy wax witches. however, i'm glad it turned out to be WAX IDOLS. this album is filled with some dark, synthy tracks. the lead singer's voice is reminiscent of certain punk bands' vocals, like The Undertones, with some patti smith vibes mixed in. if no one told me the release date of this lp then i probably would've guess that it was from the '80s. i think that it's definitely worth a listen. it def has horror-core/techno qualities if ur into that.
