Self-proclaimed as " the perfect alchemic blend of androgynous rock and roll power with 'stuck in your brain' pop melodies", the StarBenders released 10 love songs that to me sound like Courtney Barnett and Sleater Kinney met up nine years ago on a Friday afternoon with some Subway and wrote these songs together.

A mix of pop-rock with catchy yet dark melodies and powerful vocals, MRKTS is a perfect album for those looking for a rock-pop moody tune. MRKTS sounds very much like a mix of The Weekend, a pop rock band, and topped off with vocals that sound almost identical to the Imagine Dragons lead singer, Dan Reynolds. The tracks on this album are very alt-pop with a bit of rock and R & B, and I would definitely recommend this album to anyone who is a fan of Imagine Dragons’ rock-pop sound. Last Call is a bit more synth-y pop and has less dark-sounding vibes than Imagine Dragons.

I had never heard of this band before but I saw their name and that they had a picture of a cute cat on the back and I knew I had to review them. I would El Gato Dice's Dos is the ecuivilent of 80's rock pop but for the indie genre. They are labeled as indie on their website, but I get more or a rock and pop vibe fromt their sound. It makes me want to sway my head and hips and clean my house. The lyrics are cute and the instrumentals are supper easy to listen to making it a very light album that you should play on your show.

Sweet voice, nice sounding album all together. Think Natasha Beddingfield music but with more of a Christina Perry sounding voice. Song also sound pretty good. Decent instrumentals with electric guitar power chords and plenty of piano. The style is very poppy. If I could imagine a setting for this music to be played on: I think it would be an ABC family movie or show (just not as scandelous). She is pretty angsty and swears in the songs. But she is sweet. The energy in this CD is not bad. This musicain has a great voice and shows plenty of promise.
