There Is No Mountain’s album Luna sounds like they listened to a whole lot of the Shins when writing this album because many melodies sound similar to something the Shins would write but with more bland vocals, and more impressive sounding guitar riffs.

So is it a good or a bad album? In my opinion this album is just nothing special.

The album is just ok.

Now this was an awesome album. It's the perfect type of CD to put in and just vibe to. It started off super strong and kept it going throughout the whole album. I actually had to listen to twice because the songs blended together so well. It's also music that just makes you feel really good and happy. It's a cool little mix of folk and pop so it's whats popular in the alt genre now a days. I really did enjoy this album and I really suggest playing it on your show!! Excited to see whatelse they come up with!

The self-entitled album by Fireships is one of the worst folk albums that I have heard in a long time. This album has zero charm to it and if I had to describe the sound, it is one of those songs that you will hear on the radio and change it half way through the song because you thought that maybe this song could be ok but then you realize that the song is really boring.

Love You Mean It by Family and Friends sounds a lot like Mumford & Sons but with amazing drums that sound like they came right off a Local Natives track. But besides the fact that they have Mumford & Sons and Local Natives feel, the album has its own charm and style with the singers beautiful voice and the very heartfelt lyrics about love and family that are the common theme through out this album.

How we have waited, and boy it was worth the wait. Sufjan Steven puts out a beautiful work of art, Carrie and Lowell. This album is full of what makes Sufjan great. Lovely acoustic melodies, soothing vocals, insightful snapshots of unremarkable life, corky references, and unapologetic Christian references.

Ben Howard has become one of the most renowned indie musicians in the UK with his debut release of Every Kingdom in 2011. His sophomore album I Forget Where We Were has been highly anticipated in Britain, and the hype has spilled over into the American scene. Personally, I follow the British pattern. Ben Howard creates some of the most beautiful, haunting indie folk music in the industry. He is very technically proficient--picked acoustic or soft electric guitars are accompanied by a full band to create solemn, building melodies.
