Melodic Metal

Have you ever wondered what an album full of similar sounding songs with only one difference sounds like? Well wonder no longer! this is the album for you, constant ambience in a nice 35~ minute setup! lyrics are hard to decipher so no worries about FCC! Also if you like german this is a great album for You!

To be honest the album is pretty cool I guess, I used it to relax after a crash with a mug of cocoa so It is good for calming down as best as any metal can be, I can't really recomend it though, so Play At Your Own Risk.

Ages Unsung is the most recent album released by the melodic metal band, Chariots of the Gods, and features 10 tracks. Personally, while listening to this album I was very uninterested and to be honest I felt like this album sounded like every other typical metal album. I feel bad saying that though because some people are perfectly okay sounding that way and like to listen to music that sounds like this. So while this album hardly interests me I would recommend this album to anyone who wants some metal to just zone out to.

Really great CD! Not only does it have a totally awesome cover with multiple dragons, it's got a really nice sound as well. It's not too loud and annoying, so you can listen to it while doing homework (it's surprisingly good for motivating me to do Spanish homework). But it's also fun to dance to. There are some faster paced songs, like Kick it Down and Flying High, and some slower ones too. It's overall a really good mix of sounds. This is exactly the kind of content I like to see!

All That Remains has returned with a very mature and consistent seventh studio album, entitled The Order of Things. Unlike previous albums, The Order of Things is very mature both in its lyrical content as well as the musical styles. This album takes the band's stances on society and the problems it faces and turns them into a very consistenly great album that's very hard not to like. The first few songs on the album almost don't sound like All That Remains.

Lacuna Coil

On Lacuna Coil’s newest effort, we find the band striving to further purify their melodic metal sound that has come to define the group over the years. The album does a great job of staying true to this proven method, with high use of major chord melodies throughout the melodically sung choruses (with female lead vocalist soaring with fervor). The album does a great job of sticking to a proven method, but ultimately does not break any new grounds in doing so.

It’s Heavy, It’s Fast and the band has skill. They add harmonics and effects to their solos and blend them in perfectly. There are choruses that’ll be stuck in your head and they don’t overdo it like some bands who build their songs off of catchy lyrics. This is melodic Scandinavian metal.

I have liked Avenged Sevenfold since the Waking the Fallen days... I don't care how much they "sell out," because their shit is still fantastic and awesomely catchy. Yeah they have gotten a little too melodic and Nightmare certainly proves that, but who hasn't. Regardless this album is still great. I will admit the slow songs I automatically skipped over, wasn't too impressed.. but if you like that kind of melodic, slow, dramatic rock you will love a lot of songs on this album. The fast ones... pure bliss. I love them. M. Shadows husky voice oozes sex, what's not to love about that!?

This is VERY melodic metal. The vocals are 98% straight up power metal; in fact the album itself is very much in the vein of power metal. It’s incredibly epic and upbeat. Oh, also, the production is perfect. And boy is there a lot of it.
