Cozy Tapes Vol 1 is the debut album for rap group A$AP Mob. This album is really good, containing solid verses from the group themselves while also having quality features from such artists like Juicy J and Tyler the Creator. The production on the album is very good as there are many solid beats. The beats range from songs sounding like a 90’s rap song and others sounding like a modern day rap song.

1992 is The Game's eighth studio album, released on October 14th, 2016. A Nigerian producer by the name of Bongo was the executive producer on this album, producing tracks such as I Grew Up On Wu-Tang and Savage Lifestyle. The 90's hip-hop vibe is captured by the samples, including Inner City Blues (Make Me Holler) by Marvin Gaye, Colors by Ice-T, C.R.E.A.M. by Wu-Tang Clan, and Back to life (However Do You Want Me) by Soul II Soul.

One of the most impressive things about the Wu Tang Clan, you know besides the fact that they're the Wu Tang Clan, is the success of their members outside of the famed Wu. Method Man comes to us again with "The Meth Lab.". This sorta kinda theme album (if a pun counts) is packed tightly with solidly meaty beats and rhymes all the way through. The production is clear and to-the-point. There is a mix of club tracks and more Mobb Deep style slow hard-hitters.

Know No Better is the latest work from Meek Mill. The track has a light build up that quickly transcends into a heavy bass line. On the track Meek Mill has a feature from Yo Gotti. Considered to be one of the top MC’s out right now, Meek Mill certainly proves it in this song. This track is clean and ready to be played.

War Ready is your typical Rick Ross MMG music. Coming off Rick Ross’s latest album, Mastermind. The track features Young Jeezy. Mike Will Made It so you know right off the back it is going to be a slapper. There’s heavy use of 808’s with a gangsta rap attitude throughout the song. War Ready is definitely worth a spin. This track is clean and ready to be played.

Yeah H**!! Juicy J's signature tag can be heard throughout this album and every track bangs. I have been listening to this album since it was released and there is no song on it that I do not like. The lead singles from this album, Bandz A Make Her Dance, Show Out, and Bounce It, really gave the listener a good idea into how good this whole thing was going to be and it did not disappoint. If you love making cash and twerking....never mind, who doesn't? Everybody will love this album especially the featured artists like Chris Brown, Justin Timber lake, and A$AP Rocky.

The Maybach Music Group is at it again with their third collaborative studio album, Self Made 3. These albums just get better and better each time a new one comes out. This one features the late Lil Snupe on the intro verse as a tribute to their fallen comrade. There are many guest appearances on this album other than the MMG artists themselves including J. Cole, French Montana, Lil Boosie, Lupe Fiasco, Birdman, and Yo Gotti. If you like rap that really goes in depth about life in the hoods and ghettos of America, you need to pick up this album.

"Deeper" is Freddie Gibbs' most recent collaboration with Madlib, and another reason to hype up/anticipate/get excited about their forthcoming LP.  You might call the song a romantic love song or you might call it, you know, an unflinching glimpse into street life, but calling it a good song is kind of a foregone conclusion.  Gangster heartbreak, Maury-style paternity mysteries, fond memories on a city bus, and rough rubdowns reminiscent of Isaac Hayes are but a few of the topics and things Freddie finesses with his characteristic rawness and nuance.
