Arizona is moving down the field thanks to it's passing game and Cal's penalties. A personal foul kept the drive alive at midfield and now a late hit has given Arizona the ball at Cal's 17. Time is running out for the Cats with only 5:30 to play. Tuitama sacked, which sets up a 3rd and 17 from the 24. Now 4th and 9, Stoops has got to go for it. Make that a 4th and 14 after an Arizona false start.

Nate: Im so sick of false starts

Tuitama's pass was incomplete, CAL ball and a CAL victory basically.

Spencer: Not basically Nate, definately. The stands our emptying, the Arizona fans crying, and Stoops....well Stoops is actually pretty calm right now.

Nate: I now know its over, but it was a great time.

45-27 Cal

Spencer: Arizona is having trouble stopping Cal. a 14 yard run by Ta'ufo'ou and a 13 yard catch by Jordan put Arizona's 27. A big run by Forsett brings Cal to the 2. Forsett runs it into the end zone and Arizona is now down by 18. California's Offense has just passed it's season average of 40.3 points per game, and Arizona's defensive nightmare of a game continues to allow more points.

Tuitama throws into the back right corner of the endzone to Mike Thomas for a 4yard touchdown.

Spencer: What was once a 28 point deficit is now only 14, and yet it is hard to believe that Arizona is still in this game. Cal starts their drive from the 12 but gets 11 from Forsett on first down. Arizona picks up a fumble on Cal's 23 yard line, NOW it is starting to look like a game!

Nate: This is why I love football...Arizona hits the 32 yd field goal to make it 38-27...Thats 17 unanswered points for the Cats...Lets do this!

Spencer: The blog is going strong. And for the time being so is Arizona's momentum. After the Tuitama touchdown, Cal has gone three and out. As of now my player of game is a tough battle between Cal Thomas DeCoud of Cal and the Teriyaki Tri Tip sandwich provided to the media, I loved this sandwhich, it was delicious. Cason get smothered immediately upon catching the punt and Arizona will take over from their own 25. The crisp, refreshing Northern California smells as though a comeback is brewing in the atmosphere, however Arizona's recent 3 and out would suggest otherwise.

Nate: Yeah Spencer..I had a dream during halftime that resembled that haha

Nate: Larsen almost picked Longshores past...Seems like this has been going on since the beginning of the game.

Spencer: The offense is driving, Tuitama is looking pretty good. Mike Thomas continues to outrun the Cal secondary on what has seemed like a drive of purely screen passes. Now Arizona sits at 4th and 6 on Cal's 12, they are going for it and a failed conversion here would basically make a comeback impossible. Offsides Cal, we're now looking at a fourth and one. Nick Gregsby gets the first down and Arizona will have a first down on the 5.

Touchdown Arizona-7:58 Tuitama runs the ball in after Grigsby set up the Touchdown with a great run.

Nate: We'll take anything we can get haha

Spencer: Sorry Folks, we're experiencing some technical defficulties with this blog and my halftime report was lost. In short: Lavelle Hawkins is tearing up the Arizona secondary, and the Cal defense is forcing big time turnovers. 2nd half play started with a Mike Thomas touchdown that was called back for illegal hands to the face. On third down Jennings fumbled the ball, that makes four forced turnovers by Cal. And now Cal has 1st and Goal on the three after another impressive drive, wait no, Justin Forsett just scored his second touchdown of the game, it's now 38-10 California. Nate say something because I just don't want to comment on what I have just seen.

Nate: Arizona's safeties in particular look awful..Patrick, Hall, and Nelson are missing assignments and freeze alot just from simple things like play fakes from Longshore. They "Bite" on alot of little things that they shouldnt.

Nate: Reese finally gets the ball with 10:40 left in the 3rd. Its about time...They still need to get the ball to thier tight ends...Arizona is driving 3rd and 10....offsides so its 3rd and 4

Nate: 1st down baby!

Nate: At halftime, Arizona currently trails Cal 31-10. Lavelle Hawkins for Cal currently leads the Bears in recieving with 87 yds and 1 TD. Tuitama has 158 yds and Longshore threw for 192 yds in the first half. If Arizona wants to stay in this game, it is going to have to start with a scoring drive in the beginning of the second half. So far, the story of the game has been California's Offense and Arizona's inability to capitalize on key scoring drives at key times in the game. Arizona needs to turn it around and it starts with a strong opening drive in the third quarter...

Spencer: After the interception California is continuing to move the ball, Forsett ran for a firstdown and Hawkins caught for another. Cal is on the 50 after a delay of game penalty.

Nate: This defense needs to get pressure up front on Longshore. I said it from the get go and I'm sticking to it. So far Arizona has hardly blitzed. They need to confuse Cal in some way because Cal is just walking down the field and having no trouble moving the ball. Lavelle Hawkins in tearing this defense apart.

Arizona manages to cut the drive short at 21, and Cal missed their 31 yard field goal attempt

Spencer: Interesting to see how Arizona's offense responds here, they have to take advantage of the break Cal just gave them.

Nate: I really feel like this drive will dictate how the rest of this game goes.

Grigsby runs for a gain of 8 on the first play, then for a first down of 2nd.

Spencer: It is worth noting that Arizona gets the ball to start the second half so they really need cut the defecit now and hopefully score out of the break.

Nate: Arizona converts a huge 3rd and 1 and are still driving down the field. Keeping my fingers crossed...

Spencer: Stoops said after the New Mexico game that this was the most undisaplined team he has ever been a part of, they just got another false start penalty and now have a 3rd and 3. This is big.....

The draw to Grigsby falls short of the first down, Arizona appears to be going for it....

Nate: Timeout Arizona...That play call on 3rd and 3 was awful...who runs a wimpy draw?
Anyways this crowd is loud and Az is going for it....

On 4th and 2. Tuitama drops the snap before throwing incomplete to Grigsby.

Spencer: Well there is less than two minutes before the half. Arizona needs to not allow any big plays and just take this thing into the locker room 28-10, which really isn't that bad when you consider that Cal is scoreless this quarter.

Spencer: This post of the KAMP Sports blog is dedicated to Dasani water bottles, which are being provided up here in the press box. I have also had a coke, and three bags of chips, expect a review of the tri tip sandwhichs soon. After a quarter, Cal leads 28-3 and has already gained over 150 yards. I want to be positive and stand by my team but this is not easy. It doesn't help when me being a Bay Area resident, recieves text messages from friends every 10 minutes reminding me of the massacre that is taking place here in Berkeley. Tuitama looks as though he is actually trying to throw an INT, until 3rd down when he completes to the s yard line: credit the O line right now boys.

Nate: Arizona's protection on this drive looks better...

Spencer: I can hear myself getting fatter from the amount of free food I have had since arriving to the press box, this rocks.

Grigsby takes it into the endzone on a one yard run

Nate: If Arizona's offense can some how keep clicking like the last drive, they could maybe get back in this game...But first, this defense needs to "wake up the echoes" that is Arizona football right now.

Spencer: This blog is hook the hook thus far, we want to give a shout out to our dediacated blog readers in Tucson as well as various locations overseas. Cal scores on a defensive touchdown as Cal OL Thomas DeCoud slammed down Tuitama, knocking out the ball, returned for a touchdown. I'll tell you the few Arizona fans that showed up are not looking to happy in the southeast corner of the stadium. I have asked the press box people for a rope and some paper so I can write my will.

Nate:Devin Ross is the man, the only bright spot in Arizona...The best part of the game so far is watching the tree people and watching Stoops lose it with the refs.
