If you're like me, the name of this band is the one and only reason why you picked this album up in the first place. If you're also like me, you were expecting a punkish type of band with lyrics that sound like they were written by junior high kids that found their dad's porno stash and just learned what a vagina is. What this really is, is a damaged CD that won't rip or play on my computer very well, and unfortunately I can't give a good full review. It's a shame too because what I was able to hear actually sounded fairly decent.

Hail The Villain's album "Population Declining" is a pretty solid rock album. It has all of the typical elements of a standard rock album with a bit of a more modern twist to it. Its pretty easy listening to music, I would say this CD should be open to anyone. Its real general and I think that anyone could like this album. It has its fasted paced songs like Pyro, my favorite song on this album, and it has its songs that make you want to sing along just like Evil Has a Name. It seems really standard for a rock album nothing too catchy or flashy but still this album doesn't get tiring.

Classic hip-hop beats provided by the Are and great lyrics and flow put down by Zumbi, making this a great overall album. All of the songs hit hard with an old school feel but still give out that fresher than frozen feel.

Azure Ray consists of Maria Taylor and Orenda Fink. The play quiet folksy sounding songs with electronic elements. The album is really delicate, it doesn't use any gimmicky hooks to draw you in. Maria and Orenda are friends with Conor Oberst's crew, and you can hear the influence in their music.

Girl Talk is one guy that mashes up the most popular songs to create something new. He doesn't just use the current hyped songs, he uses older favorites and mixes them with today's top 40. All of these songs are bangers, but unfortunately — you can't play any of them! He mashes up everyone from M.I.A. to New Order to Beastie Boys.

Matt & Kim have another album! Located in Brooklyn, the duo began recording in 2004. Their brand of happy pop songs have brought them popularity, from "Daylight" in the Bicardi commercial to the breakthrough video at the 2009 VMAs for their "Lessons learned" where they stripped in time square. In the video they were tackled by the police....that was not staged. This album is not lo-fi like the previous records, were it was basically just drums and keyboard, but is still very good

If you like Edward Sharpe, you would love this! They sound just just like Edward Sharpe, which they should because Alex Ebert "Edward Sharpe" is the lead singer Ima Robot was formed in the late 90's and origionally included members (Justin Meldal-Johnsen and Joey Waronker) from Beck. They now have some new members but are still very good.

I used to be a big fan of these guys back in high school, but didn't pay attention to their previous album, "Lost in the Sound of Separation." They became famous for playing Christian screamo, but their new album takes a pretty different direction from that stuff. The songs are darker and less poppy with some pretty crushing metalcore moments. A lot of it is also slower, which kinda reminds me of newer Thrice material at times.

HELL MOTHERFUCKN YEA! This CD is quick and in your face the whole time. Its got punk beats and the thrash metal intensity. The solos are bad ass. Its an awesome CD to break the law while listening to. Fuckin A, How about we steal a car and blow the speakers and race off the stoplight. Its got an 80's motorhead feel to it. This is just outta control man. You gotta hear it. I guarantee you'll be satisfied.

This CD has plenty of wind instruments alongside heavy grooves and death style vocals. Its a good steady mix of the two genres, folk and viking death. Its similar to Finntroll because it embraces many different instruments but keeps the heavy deathly voc. This music is totally for drinking and celebrating a victory. Some songs are heavier than others but nearly all of them continuously incorporate the flute. It sounds good. It isnt overbearing at all because the music still keeps going at a marching pace or sailing rough seas to battle.
