This guy is coming straight out of Tucson and is ready to throw down. His beats are very repetitive and the sound like they are out of a Sega or Game Boy, but it's cool and unique. His lyrics are crazy and pretty funny. He cracks a bunch of jokes throughout his piece. Don't be fooled though, all 3 tracks on this album are the same. Mike Superhero does have good rhythm and flow. Plus his effects are nice and they go good with the beat. M.S. is definitely up and coming and will be seen in the future.

We Shot The Moon

Afternoon Records

We Shot The Moon is after an alternative masterpiece, and they got it. They have strong keys and solid vocals with some very good harmonies. The guitar parts are just your standard power chords, but they work. The songs are very catchy and stand out. We Shot The Moon does have some of the qualities of an average indie bad, but then again, they have several unique qualities. The keys are phenomenal, the vocals are impressive, and the auxiliary is top notch.

Kemado Records

Langhorne Slim has some of the best pieces I have ever heard. The songs have acoustic guitar, lovely piano, strings, soft drums, and even better vocals. Anyone can like this album. It is so easy to listen to. None of it is in your face. Langhorne has a great voice. Some of the most powerful male vocals heard in a while. Every instrument works so well together and they help to create unique tracks. This album easily gets 4.5 to 5 stars. I cannot find any defects with it. It also has 13 tracks, and all 13 are worthy of a play.

Fall of Troy

Equal Vision Records, INC.

I have seen Fall of Troy in concert, they are much better in the studio. This album is full of distorted guitar parts, lyrics of about crappy life with some screaming, and lots of symbol crashes. While some of the lyrics are inaudible or hard to decipher, the lyrics that are heard are drawn out and high. The guitar parts shred hard and make for a lot of noise. This is definitely music for when you're angry and have hard a hard day. Or if you want to get pumped up and ready to break stuff.

The Priddle

Sparks Music

The Priddle is extremely easy to listen to. It is primarily acoustic guitar backed with nice drums and bass. The vocals are soft and relaxing. The album makes for great music to drive to because it is somewhat fast, not too loud, and has forward motion. Bill Priddle's voice can sound a little whiny at times but it just adds to the ambience of the piece. The rhythms are very unique and catchy. Very nice mellow album.

Seth Glier
Label:
Mpress Records

Have you ever listened to an album and not been able to guess the sex of the artist? Well, whether you have or haven't, Seth Glier is sort of that artist. Without looking at the name, his voice sounds sort of feminine. But that aside, his piano skills are rocking and he is a decent musician. Seth plays lower down on the keys offsetting his high voice. A lot of the tracks are just singularly him on vocals and either piano and guitar.

The Middle East

Spunk

The Middle East has some high vocals with pretty decent harmonies. The guitars move pretty quick with what seems to be finger picking. There are 3 vocalists, or atleast what is heard to be 3 vocalists. These Australian rockers have quite a range of sounds within their tracks. Every track seems to be different than the last. The Middle East is a new band with a new sound but it is easy to listen to and it will be easy to watch them go far.

Suburban Noize Records

The Swollen Members used to be different. This new album is partially sponsored by SRH, the well known bro-dawg consortium. Their motto is all about lifted trucks, platinum blonde girls with fake boobs, and dippin'. I think they pushed for this album. The Swollen Members never used to curse a million times a song. These guys have worse mouths than a sailor. You can barely get 30 seconds into a song without f**k. There is nothing wrong with that, in fact i prefer my rap to be like that, but not fit for the radio at all.

Gigantic Music

With a wide range of intrumentation, The Builders and the Butchers have a unique sound. They have a very clean yet deep sound, making them easy to listen to. The vocals are extremely cool. The lead has a twangy kind of folk sound. On some of the tracks however, there are choirs that come in (gospel and choral). T.B.A.T.B. is quick and drives forward. With all the accompaniament they have, they can make a full orchestra. There are many strings, percussion, horns, and types of vocals.

Neurot Recordings

Shrinebuilder has a good sound. They aren't too entirely loud and have some musical skill. Shrinebuilder has a slower feel, definitely not speed metal. The drummer is a little questionable, i.e. he's nothing special. The guitars and bass have a full sound. The vocals go from chanting to screaming, so there is variety. All the songs are very long giving some very deep dark time to listen.
