The duo made up of Ed Schrader and Devlin Rice, opened up for Beach House on August 3rd, 2018. Their sound is a bit hard to pinpoint so I would describe it as avant-garde. It’s punk, jazzy and nostalgic for the 80’s. It seemed that most of the attendees were there to see Beach House, but I could tell they really enjoyed this opening act. Ed has a very theatrical voice and it almost felt as if I was at the circus(in the best way possible). They even did a tribute to David Bowie!  Apparently, Ed is known for his Bowie impression which I can attest to, I definitely got a Bowie vibe from him.

When they were on stage, there was no lighting, everything was dark but once in a while a colored strobe light would come on for a second. Now as a photographer, this is my worst nightmare. it was basically impossible to shoot but the pictures came out really well so enjoy!
