Emmaus - in the studio
Shameless self-promotion, can we ever avoid it? Well you certainly can't because I'm feeding it to you right now! In all seriousness though, we had David Mares from Emmaus do an acoustic performance on KAMP right before the end of the semester. Emmaus is a band I joined almost two years ago that just played for Wednesday night worship at the UofA Catholic Newman Center. It wasn't ever intended to be anything more, but slowly original songs we're written, recorded, mixed, mastered, and all of a sudden we had a small tour booked! Emmaus mixes smooth free-flowing guitars and melodies with solemn and earnest lyrics searching for meaning.
