Goldfrapp's "Lovely Head" was the song that introduced them to the world. That song and a long history of occasional skim-throughs of their reviews had led me to believe that all their songs traded in downtempo electronics, trip hop, and folk. I've never been enamored with "Lovely Head", and so I thought they weren't for me. Imagine my surprise when I heard this new song, which some might classify as a "banger". It's a driving, catchy, synth pop track where fat slabs of synth that purr and slide, underneath ethereal vocals. It's nothing super revolutionary, but it taps into some really good sounds and does so in a fun way. I recommend it if you're already into the more synth-based Indie music.
