The xx are known for a slower, more guitar and bass driven vibe. In their new album, I See You, The xx take their well known genre of indie pop and modern r&b and incorporate all of the members best qualities into an album that is sure to draw you in. The album begis with a start like their other albums then begins to take on a more pop and electronic feel. Instead of a slower and more chill vibe, the new album has lots of opportunites to jam and get into the songs. The songs are very easy to learn and the simple lyrics make the album an easy listen. The two songs that stand out are Say Something Loving and Hold On. Each song moves along on the album with graceful transitions and it is easy to listen to one song then end up listening to the entire album. Each song has unique qualites that differ from their other albums. This album is one of my favorites out of the three they have released. The song, Performance, is an amazing slower track that is filled with just the right amout emotion and subtle violin influence. Overall this album is a must listen to and listeners should take the time to listen to the entire album through without stopping to get the full effect.
